Made of hardened AISI 630 high strength stainless, this H.Dessault Tahitian shaft incorporate a novel patented tab design. Its two tabs are pressed from the metal before hardening treatment. Unlike notches or welding, this produces a perfectly finished shaft with no weak point, thus increasing strength and longevity. Loading the gun becomes easier and safer. As for many other H.Dessault articles, each Exocet shaft is manufactured in its own workshop and individually finished: for example you will find the Exocet barb will lock in open position when hitting the end of its course.
Thanks to the adequate size of its patented tabs, the Exocet shaft can be retrofitted to any closed muzzle or european manufactured speargun.

Unlike notches or welding, this produces a perfectly finished shaft with no weak point, thus increasing strength and longevity. Loading the gun becomes easier and safer; power can also be adapted for closer range shots.
Each Tarpon shaft is individually manufactured and finished at H.Dessault workshop, it is fitted with a reinforced and oversized stainless barb (8.5 cm x 12mm) placed in the lower position.
The Tarpon spearhead with its three sharp edges is purposely designed - not to punch but - to cut through the hardest parts of the fish such as cartilage and bones to secure the catch. Thanks to the adequate size of its tabs, the Tarpon shaft can be retrofitted to any closed muzzle or european manufactured speargun.
For longevity, Dessault America recommends the Tarpon shaft for speargun over 120 in length.

FLOPPER TARPON SET for Ø 7.0 mm
Made in 1.2 mm thick stainless steel and 8.5 cm length, the kit includes the flopper and its axle and will suit any 7 mm diameter shafts.
